Butter Bars - Price Increase We've only had one small price increase on our butter bars in 8 years, and it is time to do it again! But, I wanted to give our valued customers some notice before we do it. The current prices will be good through August 31, 2007. Here are some of the comments we've received from our customers about our butter bars:
"Your butter bar is the best! I put it on my feet every morning and I rub it in my heels. I've used stuff from Bath and Body Works and everyplace else, but nothing works as well as your butter bar!"
"Your butter bars are awesome. Our daughter's hands dry out so badly in the winter time that they look almost burned. Very red and scaley. She's had prescription creams and tried other popular brands of lotions for severely dry skin. Most would offer relief from the itching or uncomfortableness but not do much for the appearance. I bought one of your butter bars with my soap order last winter and it worked perfectly. Not even a speck of redness or scaliness. The packaging made it easy for her to take in her backpack to school and rub it on quickly between classes. We ordered a different scent this year and she anxiously watched the mailbox for it to arrive. The scent is so pleasant that I put it on my hands for the smell."
"Before Christmas, my finger ends, especially thumbs, were cracked and sore. I had misplaced my Soapourri lotion that comes in the deodorant stick applicator, but when I went to Ohio I used the one I gave my sister. My fingers were healed overnight! THANKS for your products!"
"My hands were extremely chapped, red, and sore. I'd tried everything, probably 20 different things, including prescriptions from doctors. The Butter Bar has really worked, like nothing else ever did. My hands are now smooth and feel healed."
If you haven't tried them before, now is the time to treat yourself while the price is still low!
I discovered a new blog today - Overheard in New York. I think it appeals to me because I am an inveterate eavesdropper - ask my husband, it drives him crazy. Aren't we all curious about how other people think and what they say?
This story from CNN.com says that diseases are spreading faster than ever all across the world.
In its annual World Health Report, the United Nations agency warned there was a good possibility that another major scourge like AIDS, SARS or Ebola fever with the potential of killing millions would appear in the coming years.
"Infectious diseases are now spreading geographically much faster than at any time in history," the WHO said.
Scary, don't you think? The sentence that I wanted to bring to your attention? This one: "It warned that global efforts to control infectious diseases have already been "seriously jeopardized" by widespread drug resistance, a consequence of poor medical treatment and misuse of antibiotics".
Misuse of antibiotics - I wrote about this back in April - one of the ways that you and I can help prevent this is to not take unnecessary antibiotics, and to not use antibacterial soap. Both of these things are polluting our water!
School started yesterday. The guy on the radio summed it up perfectly - half of you has this feeling of - sigh. yay. relief. The other half says - wah. my babies are leaving me.
Yesterday my younger son started high school. The boys are at the same school now - yay. My baby isn't a baby anymore. And my older son is an upperclassman, which is probably even more of a shock. The dog misses them - and so do I.
