It's been a
while since you heard from us! You may recall that in the last email, we asked
you to help us decide whether to reduce the size of our loaf soaps, or raise the
price, since the price of our soap base had risen by 25%. The answer, by about
70-30 was - reduce the size! We heard you loud and clear.
We've spent
a couple of months mulling over how best to do that. We were concerned that
slicing the loaf soaps at 3/4" instead of 1" would make them a bit more likely
to break during use. So, we decided to invest in some new soap molds that would
make the face of the soap somewhat smaller, but would allow us to cut them 1"
thick still, and even lower the price! This should be good news for those of
you who have trouble holding on to the present slices in the shower!
These will be somewhat like the smaller loaf slices that we currently
carry - (see the coconut lime verbena on the loaf soaps page).
It will
take some time to make the change - so, the good news is, order away until
October 1! The new prices and soap slices will not take effect before then.
