It is that time again - when it is still summer here, I realize that I need to get the Halloween soaps out of the "off-season" category and into the "seasonal". I'M JUST NOT READY!
Our googly eyeball soaps sell well all year round, but especially at Halloween. I'm always amazed at how many hits we get from the search "eyeball soaps". I think to myself, did they come up with that on their own? Or did they hear about them once upon a time and then decided to search? In any case, there are some vendors out there that have come out with their own types of eyeball soaps. But most of them aren't googly. I'm just sayin'.
Here are the eyeball soaps that were featured in Midwest Living!
And we can't forget all our other cool Halloween soaps -here's the bat!
I got in a new chocolate fragrance - Fudge Brownie - and is this one FABOO! You can find it in the following soaps - football, witch, bat, all of which are in the "what's new, hot or on sale" category on the front page right now.
You have to admit - this little guy is adorable! Oh, the big smile and the curly tail - just puts a smile on my face. Of course, washing with him won't cure swine flu - but seeing his cute piggy face just might remind you to wash your hands frequently!
Here are four reasons why you should use our soap instead of an antibacterial product:
According to a study from the CDC, researchers found that antibacterial soap was not more effective than soap in preventing disease.
Our soap is far gentler on your skin - always a good thing, especially with children.
Using chemicals like the triclosan found in antibacterial detergents on your skin can be drying - when your hands get really dry, sometimes they crack, allowing germs to enter. Your skin is your protector and you want it to be as healthy as possible.
Our soap doesn't contribute to the growing problem of drug-resistance, as is suspected in the case of antibacterial products.
I was in the shower today, when... (don't I start a lot of posts like that?) I brought my hands up to my face to wipe the water off. Ick, I thought. I smell garlic and onions. Then I realized it was because I no longer had a bar of cappucino soap at my kitchen sink. That soap is so great for getting the onions and garlic smells off your hands. And then, because I knew that even as I was thinking that I should blog about this, and it was foremost on my mind, I would forget as I exited the shower, I wrote on my Clean Slate the following:
Blog Capp.
See, that is how I remember things. Because when you have your first-born going off to college in 2 days, and your other son starting school tomorrow, and vacation was last week, well, you tend to forget stuff. KWIM???
"We begin with a new product from Cindy at Soapourri. She has a variety 3-pack of Man Soap (scroll
down a bit), including not only bacon, but also rum & lime (yum)
and Dirty Boy, which includes coffee grounds, pumice and the scent of
motor oil! Super inventive and exfoliating! Count my man in. And just
so your guy doesn’t feel weird about getting soap in his stocking, it
comes wrapped in manly camo paper, tied with minimalist twine."
Did you know that our Skeeter Beater is now organic? Yes, in our latest batch we have moved to a 96% organic aloe vera gel base! (Of course, aloe vera gel needs to be preserved). You can find it here!
